Education
I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I graduated from the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Accountancy, and passed the CPA exam in the same year.

Experience
After graduating from college, I traveled, surfed, and rock climbed for a year before finally settling in San Francisco. I was then hired by PriceWaterhouse Coopers, LLP (PwC), where I received extensive training and audited clients of all types and sizes.

A desire to work exclusively with nonprofits and progressive individuals eventually led me to leave PwC and join the San Francisco firm of Fontanello, Duffield & Otake, LLP. It is here where I found my niche, and developed my expertise in nonprofit accounting, auditing, and tax compliance. Although I began my own practice in 2006, I continue to have a regular working relationship with this firm.

Activism
I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico and the edge of the Everglades in Naples, Florida. I quickly developed a love for the ocean and land that surrounded me. This bond was strengthened in the mountains and forests of North Carolina, where I attended college. I began to travel extensively, and broadened my horizons and cultural awareness. As a witness to the human-induced destruction of the Everglades, and to social injustices found everywhere, I also developed a sense of urgent passion and activism that I bring to my work. I am motivated by a strong desire to use my professional skills to help further the causes of peace, justice, environmental responsibility, and social welfare. To this end, I choose my clients carefully, and I am proud to work with many amazing individuals and organizations.
